Laser Cutting Services — FAQ

A laser cutting specialist answers frequently asked questions about our laser cutting capabilities, equipment, and processes.

We offer cutting services for parts in various sizes and thicknesses, as well as working with different materials.
We work with a variety of materials including ferrous metal, aluminium and stainless steel.
We primarily serve the construction industry, however, our services are also in demand in other industries that require high precision in metal processing.
Our laser cutting services meet the following standards: laser cutting is performed according to ISO 9013-441 class.
Yes, we can provide examples from projects completed for Latvian companies. We primarily perform steel blank cutting, which is used in various industries. For example: Machinery Manufacturing — we have completed projects involving steel blank cutting used in the production and repair of machinery and equipment across different industries. Renewable Energy — we have worked on projects related to the manufacturing and installation of equipment in the renewable energy sector, such as in wind and solar power plants.
Latvia offers a favourable geographical location, which allows us to efficiently deliver products to various European countries. It provides fast and convenient logistics solutions for our customers.
Most of our clients operate in the construction industry. However, we also supply blanks to our partners and clients engaged in mechanical processing. These parts can be used in various sectors, including machinery manufacturing and the energy industry.
Most of our projects involve unique and individually designed parts tailored to specific customer requirements. These can be elements of various structures, machine components or specially made products to order.
Our production facility is equipped with two modern CNC laser cutting machines. Bystronic Fiber 3015 — material width up to 1500 mm, material length up to 3000 mm, power 6 kW. Bystronic Bystar 4025 — material length up to 6500 mm, material width up to 2500 mm, power 6 kW.
Our equipment enables precise laser cutting of the following materials: black metal up to 20 mm thick, aluminium up to 15 mm thick, stainless steel up to 30 mm thick.
The precision level and tolerances of our laser cutting equipment are typically around 0.1 mm. Precision and tolerances may vary depending on the specific requirements and standards applicable to the production. We adhere to regulated standards to ensure that our products meet the requirements of each individual request.
We conduct thorough inspections at every stage of production, including checking drawings and specifications before starting work and performing quality control after each significant operation. Additional interim inspections are performed between stages, and orders move to the next stage only after a successful inspection. We monitor the entire production chain to quickly identify and correct any deviations, and we use the latest technology and equipment to guarantee minimal tolerances and high cutting quality.
There are seven steps. 1. Initial consultation — we discuss your needs and requirements. 2. Request analysis — we analyse your request and check it against our technical capabilities, refining details if needed. 3. Preparation of the proposal — we prepare the final proposal including pricing, deadlines and technical specifications. 4. Order confirmation — once conditions are confirmed, we process the order and forward it to production. 5. Production monitoring — we oversee production at every stage. 6. Final product inspection and delivery — we inspect the finished product and arrange delivery. 7. Feedback collection — after delivery we gather your feedback to ensure everything meets your expectations.
Yes, we offer design and engineering services. These services are discussed separately, taking into account your wishes and requirements.
A typical project takes between 2 and 5 days.
We keep a long-term history of all orders, including parts and specifications. We also maintain a record of quality certificates for the materials used. If customers require copies or current versions of certificates, we can provide them upon request.
Yes, we provide delivery services both with full machines and individual loads. We can also arrange delivery of non-standard size parts.
Yes, clients can request samples or prototypes before placing a large order — this is a fairly common practice. We produce test samples to minimise the possibility of errors and ensure that all dimensions and details meet the requirements before we begin processing the main order.
Clients typically ask: Can large-scale parts be cut, and what is the maximum material size our equipment can process? What is the maximum metal thickness for cutting? Can we cut not only black metal but also other materials such as stainless steel and aluminium?
We base our prices on several key factors: market conditions, so that we offer competitive prices; the cost of the metal used for cutting, which plays an important role in the final price; and production costs, including energy consumption and other resources required during production.
The most efficient way is to provide a detailed request that includes digital files in DWG, JPEG, DXF, PDF or STEP formats — necessary for accurate reproduction of parts and for processing on our machines — and a specification in Excel format with all relevant details, materials and parameters. Providing this complete set of documents allows us to evaluate your project faster and prepare a precise offer.
The time required to prepare a quotation depends on the complexity of the project. It can range from one hour to several days. The more complex and extensive the project, the more time is needed for precise calculation and consideration of all details.
Our laser cutting stands out for its ability to process metal sheets in various sizes. The standard sheet size we typically start with is 1.5 x 3 metres; however, we offer cutting for sheets up to 2.5 x 6.5 metres, which is a relatively large format for laser cutting. This flexibility allows us to undertake more complex and larger projects, giving us a competitive edge.
Yes, we offer consultations and discussions about potential projects. We often meet with clients at the project site to better understand their needs and invite them to visit our production facility. This approach allows us to thoroughly discuss all projects and demonstrate our capabilities in practice.
